Steamed Shrimp

Ingredients:

Oranges, Lemons & Shrimp

Instructions:

Slice oranges & lemons. Then start stacking layers in a pot with a tight lid preferably: first oranges, then lemons then shrimp; and repeat this process ending with orange slices on the top. Then with the lid on, place the pot on a burner on high heat until you hear the pot start to steam. The heat can be lowered, but let the it steam for 20 min. Test the shrimp and continue to steam if necessary. No, you do not add any liquid.

This recipe originated by way of Rose Mary Poirrier and others have replicated it. Some add Onions to theirs.
